Andy Maher is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (as amended by the Privacy Amendment Act 2012 and subsequent reforms).

This policy explains what information I collect, how it's handled, and your rights. I aim to keep it clear, respectful, and fair.

Information I Collect

I collect only what I need to respond to your enquiry, collaborate on a project, or deliver services. This may include:

  • Your name
  • Business name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Studio location or time zone

All data is securely stored with password-protected systems. I take all reasonable steps to keep your personal information accurate, up-to-date and protected from misuse or unauthorised access.

How I Use Your Information

If you get in touch via web form, phone, or email, I may respond using those details. I might also check in with you from time to time to see if I can help again, or let you know about new services.

If you'd rather not hear from me again, just reply with STOP or Unsubscribe. I'll respect that, no questions asked. This complies with the Spam Act 2003 and the principle of choice.

Audio & Collaboration Platforms

If you're working with me remotely via Zoom, Riverside, or Squadcast, I'll access these platforms only with your express permission. If possible, I recommend assigning me a dedicated producer login to maintain your account security.

Where relevant, I may also use Descript's enhancement tools. Use of these services is subject to their privacy policies.

Cookies & Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to better understand how visitors engage with the content. It may set cookies to track page views, form interactions, video engagement, and file downloads. The information collected is aggregated and does not personally identify you.

This approach is consistent with privacy requirements under Australian law, and reflects my commitment to transparency and respectful data handling. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies or receive alerts when they're used, giving you control over what you share.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data I hold about you
  • Ask for it to be corrected or deleted
  • Object to how it's being used
  • Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise any of these rights, just email: andy@andymaher.com.

Where Your Data Goes

My studio is in Mornington, Victoria, Australia. Some services I use may be hosted internationally - emails may travel through or be stored in countries like the USA, Germany, or others depending on the route. I only use trusted services and providers.

I use Google Workspace for email, Google Workspace and/or Dropbox for file transfer, Paperform for the inquiry forms on this website, and QuickBooks for invoicing - all of which store data securely.

I Don't Sell Your Information

I never sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone. I'll only disclose your data if required by law.

Future Changes

Privacy rules evolve, and so will this policy. Any updates will appear on this page. By continuing to use this site, you're agreeing to the latest version.
